Winter Cherry Blossoms

In Japan we have a species of Cherry blossom tree that open every year in the middle of February, surprisingly they are not well known even throughout Japan. When the annual early cherry blossoms bloom the beautiful Mejiro - Japanese White Eye Bird comes in to savor the nourishing nectar of the sweet Cherry Blossom flower which is in full bloom for about around three weeks or longer, due to to the cool weather in February. This year a family from Canada have booked with me privately for this spectacular birding show, after our winter Hokkaido photo tour. We will be birding just outside of Tokyo for three days; then we're off to Nikko than Kyoto and Nara for architectural photography and to partake in the tea ceremony and visit with Maiko and Geisha for the cultural, traditional Japanese experience. Several of the establishments we will visit have been in business since before the day of the last samurai.
