Wildlife in Japan

Animals and wildlife don’t spring to mind for most persons when they first think of Japan; they picture the big cities, huge buildings with swarms of peoples. But Japans environment is largely untouched by humanity over 70% is unpopulated, with plenty of space for wildlife to thrive and then there's the marine life in the waters around the archipelago. The wild landscapes of Hokkaido are home to an array of birds such as the Steller Sea Eagles, Red-Crowned Cranes and other. You may also wish to view large herds of Sika deer; access is limited tourist vehicles such as minibusses vans cars are unable to traverse the terrain, we use 4x4’s or snow machines, cross country skies to gain entry.
