Hokkaido, the most Northern Island of Japan, is the place to be this February 2018, for wildlife and landscape photography. Over 20 seasons I have been exploring Hokkaido our winter wildlife photo tour has it all! The Steller’s sea eagle, white-tailed eagles, golden eagles, red-crowned cranes, the “blakiston’s fish owl Kotan Koru Kamui” and an abundance of other sub-artic birding adventures. We also have the red-tailed foxes, seals, and a herd of over 500 Sika deer it’s in Hokkaido, only a handful of “Japan photographers” have witnessed this Sika deer phenomenon, in 2015, 2016 and 2017 myself along with members of my annual winter photo tour group in Hokkaido did! This February 2018 I am looking forward to guiding in winter picture perfect wonderland Hokkaido, Japan.
