Lenticular Clouds

Since the dawn of human imagination, Lenticular clouds have sparked intrigue, awe, fear, rituals, believing it’s the gods or a mother ship cloaked.
These cloud formations are somewhat rare, myself I've been fortunate to witness on several continents. Several years ago, under my pen name, national geographic published my photo’s of Lenticular clouds.
I Lenticular clouds, in this blog are surrounding Mt. Fuji, while I was leading a photo tour group. Persons walking by who live in the area stopped to watch the cloud formation with us. It was there 1st time to experience Lenticular clouds. My Japanese is good enough; I was able to explain that they are naturally occurring but rare. They were relieved they were very confused as to what they were witnessing, as were a few in my group.
Airplane pilots avoid these cloud formations as much as possible, for they cause heavy turbulence. The opposite can be said for glider pilots, the clouds give them an extra lift, due to their formation.
Today the majority of persons who see photo’s of lenticular clouds, automatically believe they can’t be real. Their perception, tells them that they are the creation of Photoshop, this is a common mistake.
