FOR ALL BIRDS

I can not think of one bird, one animal I do not like to photograph/spend time with. I have photographed on every continent, on assignment simply just to be there. Over 30 years I have been behind the viewfinder. One of my mentors made a comment, it put me into a deep sense of shock & horror. This is what one of my mentors said, “I DON’T LIKE DUCKS, THEY ARE NOT FUN TO PHOTOGRAPH”. Okay quickly I said to myself, I understand that ducks are plentiful, not extinct. I have photographed extinct/endangered animals, just to clarify, extinct also means there could be a few left in the wild. My mentors comment was made a couple of years back. It’s sad when people get so tired of the wild, bored of our natural world. Especially when we need to stand up now, so the next generations can enjoy, what some take for granted.
