Autofocus Tracking Birds in Flight While Blizzard Conditions

Tracking birds in flight a challenge, even more so during blizzard conditions, Japanese camera makers recently have made significant strides improving autofocus tracking of moving objects. Just a few years ago DSLR’s would not have been able to lock on to these Whooper Swans in flight during a blizzard; I am happy my autofocus did. However, the kingfisher bird will take camera makers a few more years to improve autofocus and lenses, before we can expect to lock onto them in flight, till then, we will have to use predetermined manual focal points when photographing ultra fast moving subjects.
