All wildlife species have unique characteristics, the endangered Red Crowned Cranes are in a legendary class of their own, symbolizing longevity, immortality, happiness and good fortune. Since ancient times they have inspired the performing arts of Japan and the world. The crane in the art of movement; in Tai Chi helping to keep the mind and body in balance. I have been visiting and photographing the Red Crowned Cranes half of my life; they have never stopped inspiring me, and have been some of my best teachers of life and photography.
