Sea Birds & Perspective

At the end of a long hot day, I love to take a swim & enjoy the moment, by the Ocean. Today we got to the beach at 17:00 swam for 90 minutes. Always with my camera gear on the beach or in the boat,… waiting for something special to catch my eye.
Today the Seagulls were modeling for me, in my favorite sunset lighting.
With my 300mm 2.8 on a tripod, I walked into the Ocean, waist deep. If I opted to stay on shore, & use my 800mm 5.6, it would have been a nice photo, but I would have been looking down at the birds. This would have made it a common photo. On my workshops, I spend a good amount of time helping participants with angles. The angle of the image is something to keep in mind. Change your view, such as if you usually stand & takes photo’s, try kneeling. You will find dramatic differences in your photography.
