The endangered Oriental Stork, my rarest encounter of 2016. I was leading a private photo tour by The Sea of Japan when I got the call, quickly into our SUV's a thirty-minute drive away, in the back of my mind thinking (is my colleague pulling my leg? As you can see from the photo's, it was no prank! I did not know what to expect from an Oriental Stork, with only a vague image never seeing one in real life; several hours my group and I spent happily/ecstatic.
