Land Of The Rising Sun

Japan 70% is unpopulated wilderness, so I find myself asking this question. “Why Be on the Tourist Track.” Simple answer, it’s what’s advertised, tourist manuals, books, pamphlets, etc… For the average person, this may be acceptable. For photographers/adventures this we find unacceptable. For over 20 years, I have been exploring on and off the tourist track. If I had only to photograph in Japan, for the next 20 years, I would consider myself fortunate.

With 6,852 Islands, Subarctic to Subtropical, latitude length of 3000 Kilometres, with some of the most outstanding bird migration routes on our planet, with over 600 species known, then we have the wildlife.  Japan is also one of the safest destinations to photograph and travel on our planet!
