I damaged my 14-24mm on Sunday, sent it out on Monday, it came back this morning, under a week to repair. Nikon, Sigma, Pentax, Canon, from my experience all have a fast turn around's for repairs, & recalls.
Earlier this year I damaged one of Sigma lenses, the repair turnaround was under a week also.
When friends/clients, visit Japan the camera capital, they are always amazed at how fast our customer services are. Several times I have had to order gear while on a photo tour Japan for myself or clients, delivery usually arrive the next day to our hotel, this service helps to make our adventures/explorations with camera in hand pleasant with a smile.
