Al Perry Private Photography Workshop, February 15? - ?, 2021

Day 1, 2, 3, Pick up at Haneda International Airport, at gate on arrival.
Depart for Shizuoka to photograph the Mejiro or Japanese White Eye bird sipping the nectar of the earliest opening cherry blossom the Kawazu Sakura.  Also, other species will be in the vicinity.  

Day 4, 5, Bullet train ride to Niigata, visit two birding locations where up to 5000 Whopper Swans at each location return to on the great Asian bird migration every winter, ducks and various other species can be found such as the azure-winged magpie and others.
You are invited to stay at my home in Niigata, and Manami and I hope Mrs. Perry will be accompanying you.

Day 6, 7, Snow Monkeys.

Day 8, Drive to Niigata Airport (KIJ) and fly to Hokkaido.

Day 9. 10, Nakashibeatsu, Hokkaido we will photograph the Largest living species of owl on our planet, (The Blakiston's Fish Owl) this will be night photography at a specialized and well-established spot that feeds the wild owls by night. Day time we will concentrate on winter landscapes photography and local birding, a nemesis bird in the area for me is the (pure white) silver-throated dasher or long tail tit. I have photographed them, but my image is not a gallery-worthy image yet.  

Day 11, 12, 13, The Steller's Sea Eagles, White Tailed Eagles, Ezo Red Tail Fox, Find the Herd of Ezo Sika Deer 4x4ing specialty spots that mostly only locals know.

Day 14, Visit Masuko Volcanic Complex, and photograph winter landscapes.

Day, 15, 16, The Red-Crowned Cranes.

Day 17, PM flight to Tokyo Haneda Airport, thank you, and we look forward to our next adventure.  

Workshop Cost:  $700 USD per day plus $100 per day for back up staff, either Manami or Gaku, plus expenses.
